In closing the school year out on a positive note, the Teachers of Team 7A are making sure we remind the students of Team 7A of “PROCEDURES” and “APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR.”

We have instituted a 2 Hour After-School Detention for Fridays for the remainder of the year. However, approved students can be excused if they complete a 3 Page Essay on “Social Responsibility at Germantown Middle School,” addressing the following points:

1. Explain the value of order and structure (rules) in a school/classroom environment.

2. Where would we be as a society without authority or governance? Please explain how
this relates to the classroom.

3. Explain cause and effect as it relates to people’s actions (negative or positive).

4. Where do I believe my values about behavior and respect for others come from?

5. What is my role in establishing a good learning environment and healthy community for
the remaining three weeks of school for Team 7A at Germantown Middle School?

Essay must include input from and be signed by a parent or guardian and include a working cell phone number.
